According to what the artist stated at the beginning of the interview, his situation was triggered in 2020 with the arrival of the pandemic, which forced everyone to remain confined to their homes.
"I started eating like a beast. I mean, it was serious levels of food," the television producer said during the conversation, in which he claimed that his eating habits had caused him to reach 114 kilograms.
According to the actor, his weight made walking a constant odyssey, as his knees, ankles, and back caused him intense pain. "It got to the point where I said, 'No, I have to have surgery,'" Varoni added.
In that sense, the Colombian artist confessed that he had undergone a gastric sleeve , a procedure that quickly helped him lose the weight he had gained during confinement due to the health crisis.
